Originally, these were small round lights, fitting into wooden decking, by drilling through a small hole, and pushed in, to give a small light in the surface of the decking. Although they are not impressive during the day, at night they give a delightful effect. They can be stood on, last a very long time, and use very little electricity. They are operated from (usually) a 12V supply, plugged into the mains.
The bedroom area was astounding! Proper brass beds with full size comfy mattresses – also mosquito nets around each bed – although not in malaria territory here – don’t worry! – there are midges and if a horse fly takes a bite you’ll know about it.

When building a wood deck, you can divide the deck into two areas – one area for lounging and sunning and another section for cooking and dining.
Initially you require planning the deck area and examination its level using a spirit level and joists hours. Then make a frame the size of the area you have selected. Fix it to hold up services that will be well protected in the ground. Now place in the framework hours joists parallel to each other. Attach them to the frame using bolts hangers. To avoid weeds from growing under the decking, place a plastic membrane on the ground.
Your deck project should not cost you much especially if you want to go hands on in constructing it. You may need to consult a professional designer first to determine the proper measurements for your deck appropriate for your available space outdoors. After that, you can start listing your materials and then order them.
3) Lay the decking boards on the frame, at right angles to the beams, so you can work out the best way to use the boards with minimal cutting. Cut boards to the lengths required. Place the first board flush with the edge of the joist at the front of the deck and fix using two 50mm screws. Fix the remaining boards in the same way, leaving a 3mm gap between each one.
